AIMB-X research connects formal reasoning, implementation, adversarial testing, and ecosystem feedback so consequential assumptions stay visible.

The research loop

Five stages. Evidence at every boundary.

The sequence can repeat as results change the model. Research status and unresolved questions remain explicit throughout.

Frame the problem

Define the actors, trust assumptions, performance objectives, adversarial conditions, and evidence required to move forward.

Model the protocol

Express consensus, state transitions, cryptographic boundaries, incentives, and failure behavior in reviewable technical models.

Build the prototype

Implement the smallest system that can test the hypothesis across protocol, .sync contract, proof, or interoperability layers.

Challenge the assumptions

Use simulation, testing, threat analysis, and peer review to expose unsafe shortcuts and unresolved tradeoffs.

Publish the learning

Turn results into specifications, implementation guidance, developer artifacts, and the next research questions.

Research tracks

Organize work around the hypothesis.

A track may focus on a single primitive or on the interactions between consensus, execution, privacy, cryptography, and interoperability.

Research artifacts

The reasoning should remain inspectable.

Specifications

State, interfaces, trust assumptions, invariants, and consequential decisions.

Reference implementations

Readable prototype code, tests, fixtures, and reproducible environments.

Validation records

Threat models, simulations, limitations, failures, and open research questions.

Developer guidance

Technical explanations and integration context for people building on the ecosystem.
